Dale Earnhardt Day

My heart broke, right along with the rest of the racing world on that Sunday. I can still hear the words "We have lost Dale Earnhardt" ringing in my head like a bad dream. The Intimidator dead? That has to be wrong, but it wasn't wrong. What a tragic loss.

I have been a dedicated fan of Dale's for as long as I can remember. I remember watching him when he drove the yellow and blue Wrangler car, I remember the battles between he and Rusty. I remember how happy he was when Dale Jr. won his first race in NASCAR and I will never forget the day he won the Daytona 500.

Even though life has gone on without Dale Sr. in it, NASCAR will never be the same nor will I.

Happy Birthday Dale, we miss you dearly.
